Photography

The photography is crucial for success of a website. Photos capture the ambiance, food, action, what it feels like to BE THERE! If you have a brick and mortar business, this is the way to create the ambiance of your establishment digitally. Phones take great photos. It’s not necessary to own a fancy camera any longer.* What is absolutely necessary is proper handling of them online- file size, cropping, placement and usage from a design standpoint, resolution for site speed; and especially for sites with a portfolio of work, or food shots that are meant to entice your taste buds. A website should reflect the personality of each business, and give them a virtual tour. A taste of your business online.

*My photos are mostly taken with a Nikon and that did make a different artistic impression than the photos taken on my phone. The art sort of “presents itself” with my Nikon, so having said a fancy camera is not necessary, it made the difference in the websites I design. There are great cameras on phones, too, though, and those offer yet another form of expression, so they are all workable as long as you can use photo editing software to adjust what is needed.
