The Main Street Wine Bar opened in 2012. The owner saw my work on another local restaurant website, and hired me to develop everything for the new bar before it was open.

The project began with the logo and a website to announce the new business coming. Before the bar opened I began taking photographs and showed the steps as they progressed. I took a lot of staged photography at first, for use on the website, as well as email marketing, which we sat up immediately to send the news as the building was remodeled.

They eventually did open and they’ve gained a lovely following, as they serve delicious fresh food, with weekly specials created by their chef, and unique wines from around the world and other craft drinks. They are situated a little off the beaten path, not far outside of Pittsburgh in the Laurel Highlands in the rolling hills between Donegal and Ligonier.

The website really needs to portray this quaint establishment with photography and a place to show the food and atmosphere.

For photo shoots, every so often I would eat there, take my camera, go into the kitchen and shoot food coming off the line, take shots all around, outside, inside, etc, and refresh the website. That is important. And the eventually, the customer needed to take charge of weekly ads in Facebook, and keep the website menu updated weekly as well.
