Working with printers
Hot Designs can work directly with your printer or one that we refer, to provide them with the correct files. Having worked with multiple printing companies, we can help determine the best source for your particular project.

Communication between the designer and printer is very important so it is suggested that you allow complete communication between Hot Designs and the printer of choice to make sure all technical issues are addressed. We are experts in understanding the print process and file types needed for proper results. We know the meaning of cmyk, rgb, bleeds, dpi, 4/4, plates, bindery, registration, aqueous coating, dot gain, finished size, gatefold, ganging and anything else related to print jobs of all sized and surfaces.

Since we do not actually handle printing in the old fashioned way of "print management" we do not upcharge for print jobs. Hot Designs can place print orders with online printers using your credit card as a service to you for a small fee. If you prefer to place print orders on your own, we will give you the proper file format for the printer.

Hot Designs is not affiliated with any printers, therefore the printers we refer are just suggestions based on our own knowledge of printing.

Managing your own print jobs
If you completely handle your own printing, it is suggested you get a proof before printing the final quantity, and allow for any necessary file changes, ie: color, borders, a final proofing inspection. Great inexpensive printing options are available now, but sometimes you don't get a proof. You are risking the chance of an entire print job being done improperly if you choose not to see a proof before final printing.
